In this unique weekend workshop led by Dr. Lee Ann Woolery, participants immerse themselves in the beautiful landscape of Organ Pipe Cactua National Monument. Art and Science-Ways of Knowing the Sonoran Desert, teaches how the arts are a way of knowing the ecology of a place through art based perceptual ecology. Those who take part in the workshop become more open to exploring the details of the landscape, are active participants and use their sensory capabilities beyond sight to discover the land in a new way.
 
Art and Science-Knowing the Sonoran Desert takes place March 31 through April 2, 2017 at Organ Pipe National Monument. Cost to participate is $490.
