ASU Gammage Auditorium

Grady Gammage Memorial Auditorium is located on the campus of Arizona State University and is thought to be the last public commision of renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Work began on the facility in 1962 and took over two years to complete. The first concert was performed in 1964 by the Philadelphia Orchestra under the direction of Eugene Ormandy. Gammage Auditorium is named for Grady Gammage, President of Arizona State University from 1933-59. In 1985, the building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Gammage Auditorium is home to the Broadway Across America-Arizona Series and ASU Gamage Beyond Series along with many other performance events. Schedules and ticket prices vary depending on the event. The lobby of the building serves as a gallery featuring paintings and photography from numerous local artists. Although the facility is open to visitors, it is wise to plan in advance and call ahead for hours.
