Bartlett Lake

Details:

Bartlett Lake is a reservoir formed by the damming of the Verde River. It was constructed by the Salt River Project in 1936-39 and offers a beautiful spot for water recreation of all kinds. The lake is 48 miles from central Phoenix, is 12 miles long and has an average depth of 100 feet. One side of the lake has gently sloping beach areas while the other is ringed by beautiful desert mountains. Spring is especially scenic when cactus are in bloom and wildflowers dot the hillsides.

Bartlett Marina has a general store with bait, fuel dock, convenience store items, boating accessories and rentals. Paved boat ramps make it convenient for boaters and fishermen. Shoreline camping is available at Bartlett Flat and RV spaces are available at Yellow Cliffs. There are also picnic ramadas for day use. The lake holds a variety of fish including bass, crappie, catfish and bluegill.
