Campbell Mesa Trail System

Details:

Flagstaff's Campbell Mesa Trail System provides walkers, hikers, bicyclists, skiers and snowshoers with a variety of outdoor experiences. This popular trail system begins in large stands of ponderosa pine and Gambel oak. The loops offer a wide variety of scenery, seasonal wildflowers as well as bird and wildlife sightings. There are five loops. The longest is 5.7 miles (Campbell Mesa Loop) while others range from 1.8 miles (Continental Loop) to 2.7 miles (Anasazi Loop) and 4 miles (Walnut Meadows.) The loops interconnect to give visitors an endless array of options in all seasons.

There is no fee to utilize the Campbell Mesa Trail System. Just remember to leave this beautiful area as you found it. To reach the trails, take the Country Club exit from I-40, Route 66 and North Highway 89 one mile to Old Walnut Canyon Road. Turn left and drive about one mile to the sign reading "Campbell Mesa Recreation Access." The last half mile is dirt. Park at the gat (do not block gate access) and walk approximately 400 feet to the trailhead.
