Celebration of Basketry and Native Foods Festival

For the first time, the public is invited to attend the Celebration of Basketry and Native Foods Festival. This unique event features Native American chefs as they demonstrate the use of traditional foods and talented artisans who create and educate about the art of basket weaving. Among the activities are food tastings, educational presentations about traditional foods, agricultural practices and a hands-on basket weaving workshop. Guests will also be entertained by traditional dancers and singers including the Apache Crown Dancers. 
 
Dates for the event are November 14 and 15, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum. Admission to the Festival is free with admission to the Museum and free to Museum members.
