During the hot summer, the desert comes alive after dark and visitors can experience this phenomenon by exploring the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum in the cooler evening hours. All summer long, the facility is open on Saturday evenings with lots of special events and exhibits. Among the special events are an astronomy night and the ever popular Insect Insanity! See scorpions glow under black lights and watch as bats pluck insects from the air. Kids will have a blast with hands on activities and adults can enjoy the starry night sky.

Cool Summer Nights is celebrated in 2019,  May 18th to August 31st.

 
General admission for age 18-64 is $19.50. Youth 13-17 $15.50 and children 4-12 are admitted for $6. Kids 3 and under are admitted free.
