Dead Horse Ranch State Park

Dead Horse Ranch State Park is situated at 3,300 feet elevation along the banks of the Verde River. It's a fabulous spot for a relaxing vacation with an organized campground, cabins and plenty of recreational activities. From canoeing  and hiking to mountain biking and fishing, the park offers a variety of outdoor activities.
The Verde River Greenway ecosystem supports a wide range of wildlife and birds, so it's also a fine spot for wildlife watching and photography. The campground has over 100 large RV sites available on a first come/first served basis that include water and electricity. There are modern restrooms and shower facilities for registered campers. This is a popular area that can be busy during mild spring and fall periods, so it's wise to call ahead for availability. Autumn is particularly beautiful when the trees are showing off their fall colors.
Entry fees are $7 per vehicle (up to 4 adults) or $3 per individual for day use. Campsites range from $15 for a tent site to $30 for RV sites and $55 for cabins.
