Devil's Bridge

Details:

Devil's Bridge is a large sandstone bridge in the red rock area of Sedona. Visitors can reach the trail to the bridge via Dry Creek Road, a non-paved Forest Service route in West Sedona. A great place to start is by visiting the local forest service office for trail information and directions. Once you reach the trailhead, the round trip hike is about 1.8 miles with a 400 feet elevation gain.

The beginning part of the trail is along an old jeep road through washes and desert scenery. The trail gets steeper as it approaches the bridge. At the three-quarter mile mark, the path divides. The downhill path to the left takes hikers to the base of the 50-foot natural bridge. The uphill trail follows a rock staircase to a wide open area with great views. Continue a bit farther and another level leads to Devil's Bridge. Brave hikers can walk across the bridge but be sure to watch your step.
